School Merino Wether Challenge

School Merino Wether Challenge

Teams of three wethers are exhibited by schools and judged first on their ability to produce wool and meat over the next five years. This program is designed to provide a hands on experience for students to become involved in the merino industry.

Warren Central School will be participating at the School Merino Wether challenge at Dubbo. There will be workshops to showcase a range of areas in the sheep and wool industry. They will learn about sheep handling, reproduction technology, animal nutrition, wool harvesting and supply chain processes, while also hearing from a range of industry leaders. With a young judges competition they will be able to put their skills to the test in a hands-on experience.

Warren Central School will be participating School Merino Challenge on Tuesday 12 August - Wednesday 13 August. Bus will collect students at 5.30am and return to school at 5.00pm.
