Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) is a program supported by the Department of Education and Communities across NSW to promote and maximise academic achievement and behavioural competence.
At Warren Central PBL is a school-wide strategy for helping all students achieve important social and learning goals. We have established a matrix of expected behaviours for various settings which are explicitly taught. Students are acknowledged frequently for positive behaviour and consistent consequences are applied when behaviour is not consistent with what is expected. By detailing every expected behaviour and teaching to students in a positive way, we are providing a common language for everyone in our school.
Our vision for Warren Central has been devised through consultation with students, staff and the wider community and is for Warren Central students to be:
